Spring Big Success - Summer Hockey Opportunities
The Kansas City Fighting Saints would like to thank the coaches, players and parents for making the spring season a big success. We saw a raise in participation of over 25% from last season.
The spring is an excellent developmental hockey program for our families. There were lots of opportunities for extra ice time to focus on the FUNdamental’s all while having FUN! All age divisions received 2 practices a week plus games. The Kansas City Fighting Saints Organization is committed to bringing our families the best hockey experience in the city.
There will be plenty of opportunities to continue skating and growing hockey skills over the summer.
- Slap Shot Saturdays @ Line Creek are a chance for the kids to get out on the ice and have fun with other kids.
- KC Jets will be having a week long camp at Line Creek with on and off ice skill development. http://www.kcsaintshockey.org/news_article/show/258220?referrer_id=381306
- Learn to Play Hockey will still be on Friday Nights once the rink re-opens after June 6th.
- Kansas City Fighting Saints will be offering skill improvement sessions as we get closer to the fall season. Coach Cooper and Fornelli will be running the evening program. More information coming soon!

Want to learn some great stuff about hockey? Watch the short videos NBC produced on the Science of Hockey not only will you get some hockey tips but you will also learn some real world Science! Parents and Coaches watch the videos and go over the lesson plans with the kids great off ice learning.
How to Hockey.com
The link will take you to How to Hockey's YouTube page where you will find lots of great video's on playing hockey. Check it out with your kids. Start by watching the videos that you fill will have the biggest impact on your child's game. Example if your player hits the goalie with most every shot then maybe "Where to shoot to score more goals" or "Shooters Illusion – See the Net Through the Eyes of the Puck" which is great for both the shooter and goalie.
